{Tulip Gardens} Woodland Wa Baby Photographer

I had the honor of photographing baby "c" once again!  I met his family when he was in his mama's tummy and went to their home for his newborn session.  He's 7 months old already, and the tulips were in full bloom and PERFECT for this mini-session on Saturday.  The weather actually held out and we even got some sunshine!  If you'd like to take advantage of the blooms in the next couple of weeks, hurry and book your session before they're gone!  360.751.7289

{9 Months...Already!} Longview Kelso Wa Baby Photography

Time goes too fast.  My baby girl is already 9 months and learning something new every day.  She's sharing her blocks, her food, and loves to dance!  She's waving "hi" and "buh buh".  Every morning we get up, open the curtains and wave "hello" to the beautiful day.  Then we go over to the fish tank, turn on the light, and wave "good morning" to the fish.  I can no longer open a curtain in my house without her waving out the window.  And needless to say she waves at the fish tank from across the room.  I cannot believe how smart and unique she is.  I'm trying to slow down and appreciate every moment, because they pass too quickly.  Sometimes I'll just lay beside her on the floor and watch her play.  It's amazing what you can learn about your child by just taking the time to carefully observe them play with blocks and stuffed toys.  

So here are her latest glam shots.  I added some funny oops shots in there too, just to show you how our photo sessions usually unfold...

{New Studio!!!} Kelso Wa Photography Studio

Okay, okay, so I can't hide it any longer!  I'll be opening a little boutique studio this spring/summer and I'm just too excited not to blog about it.  I've been keeping it a bit quiet until all of the details are worked out, but here it is: 

It will be located inside LaFavorites, a fine yarn and coffee shop in Kelso.  It will be by appointment and standard portrait prices will apply.  I will be focusing my attention on creating very natural, artistic portraits, especially of newborns and children.  Appointments will be scheduled during daylight hours to utilize the beauty of natural light.  LaFavorites is quickly becoming one of my "favorite" places to be.  It's a wonderful place to come and relax and enjoy warm conversation and look at all of the beautifully knitted creations that Amy has displayed.  It's quickly inspiring me to take one of her classes and knit my own props!

Things are progressing nicely...I was in there painting yesterday and I can hardly wait to start shooting.  Here's a quick shot I took as I sat on the floor for a little coffee break...I'll keep everyone posted.  I plan on doing before and after shots of the room...it should be beautiful.  We're planning on having a grand opening/open house event that will be a blast, so stay tuned!
